A recognized Lincoln scholar, Putnam’s research has focused on the young Abraham Lincoln and his defining relationship with friend Joshua Speed. Putnam’s books in the Lincoln and Speed Mystery Series include Final Resting Place (2018), Perish from the Earth (2017) and These Honored Dead (2016). This series has been a critical and commercial success. Doris Kearns Goodwin, Pulitzer Prize winner, writes, “Jonathan Putnam combines an historian’s understanding of character and context with a remarkable narrative drive that kept me fascinated from start to finish." The abuse of alcohol and drugs has resulted in significant morbidity and mortality among adolescents worldwide. Many of these youth will lose their lives to drugs and alcohol and a significant number are likely to grow up to become problem drug users. Drug use is preventable and addiction can be treated. Join Gwinnett Library and a Gwinnett County Crime Prevention Officer to become more aware of the impact of drug use on individuals, families, and communities and receive information about local contacts and programs. The Goodwill Career Center will hold our multi-employer Job Fair from 4:00p.m. until 6:30p.m. on Thursday, March 21st, 2019.
